Google Voice

Google Voice is a voice mail system with the following options:

  • Forwards incoming calls to any other number(s).

  • Forwards Caller ID to any phone

  • Forwards SMS to a mobile phone.

  • Records a voice message if call is unanswered.

  • Transcribes voice message and sends it to SMS mobile and E-Mail

  • Stores all messages and SMS in an GMail like interface at
    http://google.com/voice

I love my Google Voice. The transcription from voice to text isn't that great though, but its enough to get a gist of the message. The E-Mail transcription contains a link to Play the recorded message inside Google Voice. Also you can have Google Voice ring any number of phones: mobile phone, home phone, skype phone, etc.

Currently the service is invite only. I do have 2 invites left. Make a comment below to be included in the drawing. I will randomly select a comment author from the comments made in this post. The drawing will be held in one month on Sunday December 6th.

[I'm hoping at least 2 people read this post; I can dream, can't I?]
